Do you have a Kroger? Maybe another store that sales Beech Nut baby food. They are discounting their carrots and replacing them with "sweet carrots." So Kroger has them at "Close Out" price for 13 cents a jar. I make most of my own baby food because it is cheaper. But when I see a deal, I stock up. Since having two babies = eat more and having jar food can be more convenient!
The picture I am about to post is a little miss leading because this particular Kroger had the "close out carrots" and the "sweet carrots" stacked together, so you had to pay attention to make sure you were picking up the 13 cent jar of carrots and not the regular price jar of carrots. And just in case you are wondering they dont expire until Sept 2014. The first thing I checked when I saw the price!
So check out your Kroger... is it a close out item?!
Can you pair this deal with a coupon?! When I saw the deal I had no coupons so I just got them because I didnt want to come back and have them be all gone.
Hope this helps you get a deal!

Let the Pregnant Lady go First
If you have been pregnant before this is a duh for you. But if you havent been this may have never crossed your mind. If there is line for the rest room, please, I beg you, let the pregnant lady go first. Even if she says she can wait please insist that she go ahead of you. Dont make her wait... when you are pregnant you have to pee all the time and usually all of a sudden. So be kind and let the pregnant women go before!

HI, DaDA!
P and N have been saying Hi for weeks. P added DaDa a couple of weeks ago. But her new thing is to wave hi and bye. But mainly she waves and says Hi, DaDa constantly. It is so cute. She now wakes up in the morning and waves Hi. It's so cool how fast they learn, grow, develop, and change.
N is still a crawling fool and getting into everything. P is more content with where ever you sit her down. Pis the talker, N is the do-er.

How does it feel to have a baby with hair?
Hair Envy. This is a thing. I have noticed having a baby girl with a full set of hair. We get comments about it ALL the time. Last night at Romp N Roll a mom asked me, “So, How does it feel to have a baby with hair? It must be nice.” I had no idea what to say back to her. Then Mike said, “it’s good.” Too funny, I mean what am I supposed to say? Maybe, “How does it feel to have a baby that is bald?”
Baby girl does have a full head of hair since and has since day 1. That’s just the way she was born. I think its a brownie thing, she has dark brown hair, blondes are bald... maybe?

Twins' 1st birthday
Of course I will be excited and want to celebrate the twins’
first birthday. But thinking back on the
day they were born. It’s not like I have many happy memories... I know this
sounds so bad. But I think it is something that only a preemie mother can
understand.
I need to stop watching shows like “A birth story,” because
they tend to upset me. I know that some people wonder if they will ever even be
able to have children and I know I am blessed to have two beautiful healthy
babies and I am grateful for them every day. So for these reasons I feel bad
for thinking and feeling the way I do about how the babies came into the world.
But regardless these feelings are still here.
When the babies came into the world they were premature by 7
weeks. I did not get to hold them or really see them. They held P up for a
second, so I did see her but I was so nausea I couldn't enjoy the moment and
then they were rushed out of the room. I didn't know how much they weighted or
anything like that.
I was wheeled back to the L & D room and I felt so
empty. I was pregnant and then in the blink of an eye I wasn’t and I was in a
L&D room with no babies and no information on my babies.
So I have a hard time watching TV shows like “A birth story”
because I did not have that moment where they lay the baby on your chest and
you are the happiest you have ever been in your life, and you feel that instant
and intense love everyone talks about. I don’t know what the feels like. I
didn’t get that. When I think about it, it makes me sad, I feel like I was
robbed in my birth experience. I feel like I am not allowed to say this because
I am grateful and thankful and love my babies to death.
But I still feel this way. Maybe I need to talk about it to
get over it.
Ever since I can remember, first time with Ross and Rachel
had Emma on Friends. They laid Emma on Rachel’s chest, they cried, and kissed
and were so happy. I remember sayings and thinking I can’t wait for that
moment.
I know I am starting to ramble… but this is what happens
when I start thinking about the twins’ 1st birthday and what I want
to do for the day.
I think I just want a small family gathering with the people
who have been important to our family during the twins’ 1st year of
life. This day (their birthday) is a day to celebrate, but unfortunately I
think it will also bring up some negative feelings. I know it shouldn’t be like
that. I know it is a day to celebrate the amazing year we have had together. So
maybe I need to start getting this negativity out now. I am trying to get these
feelings out now by talking to other preemie moms, so I know that I am not bad
for feeling this way, nor am I crazy.
Darn it!
I forgot pump bottles. So I have my pump and everything, but
I forgot bottles, so I don’t have anything to actually pump into. Gr. I didn't even
realize until hours into the work day. This is the second time I have done
something like this. Last time I went in to the “pumping room” set up
everything and realized I had left my breast shields at home. I guess two days
of forgetting pumping equipment out of 4+ months of pumping at work isn't too
bad. But I am still beating myself up over forgetting the parts. I had also
planned to run a few errands after work. But now I wouldn't be able to do them
because: 1. I’ll probably be in pain. 2. I have to get home in pump so I don’t mess
up my supply.
Many of my post are about the struggles of being a pumping
Mom. It is not joke how hard/demanding it can be.
