Today little twins had their one month check up! They are doing great and growing! They gained 23 ounces each in 18 days, my doctor said the average weight gain is an ounce a day, so they really are gaining! Max weighed in at 7 lbs 6 ounces (birth weight 4lbs 15oz) and is 19 1/2 inches long (18 inches at birth) and his head his 14 1/4. Eli weighed in at 7 lbs 3 ounces (birth weight 4lbs 14oz) and is 20 inches long (17 3/4 inches at birth) and his head is 14 inches around. I am not convinced those lengths are correct because they did not want to stretch their legs at all and were totally fighting the older lady who was trying her best to get their length.
Because Max and Eli were early they use an adjusted scale to calculate their percentiles. So on the normal growth chart they are just touching the line on the chart.... so they are both in the less than 3% for weigh and height. But adjusted they are both in the 25th% for weigh and height.
